Here it is:
GOD:
You fail to understand that while my Word, that which you call the Bible, is infallible... your labored interpretations of it are not. Allow this truth to resonate within you and be humbled before Me.
Of course, I'll have to pray about it and seek confirmation of this truth. I've realized that when God speaks... we can never contest it's truth.
It was not the Holy Spirit Aquila. It would give us the idea to forget about laboring in the word and doctrine.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:15

I don't believe that is what was said. The impression I get from it is that while we labor in word and doctrine, we should remember that our interpretations and understandings are not infallible. I can't disagree. Can you?

I agree we can be wrong. Altho what I get from the spirit is that he is busy working with men to guide them into all truth. Many are resisting this work to their own hurt. Truth matters.

Are your understandings infallible?

I can't disagree with the Spirit guiding into all truth. But does this mean that the truth we're guidd into is strictly "doctrinal"? Don't we all die misunderstanding not knowing something? Isn't this reality a truth? And wouldn't this understanding unify us in Spirit though we differ on various details of the letter? Might truth be a deeply spiritual reality that transcends these human differences and limitations? A fulness of experiencing Christ in us, the hope of glory? Truth regarding the broader realities of grace to be realized in the cross? I'm just contemplating the possibility of a truth that might go beyond human understanding and limitation.

Re: Any hope for unity?

Why are we making truth complicated? I actually believe God did not come here to make truth complicated. If truth is beyond our understanding we might as well stop what we are doing now.

Luke said It seem good to me also having had perfect understanding in all things from the very first...

If the doctrinal truths were not necessary Christ would not have inspired its writing. And if its beyond our understanding what good is it?

And yet we are to worship in SPIRIT AND TRUTH! So there is a personal fellowship with the Lord Jesus. I believe he reveals himself to us within the perimeters of the teachings he gave the apostles. In other words his Spirit will not lead us against the written word.

Think you might change them again, some day?
