HQ has become too much like the government in Washington, DC. It's become too much of a "big brother" involving itself in things its founders never intended.
It's so messed up on the issue that it's going against its own Article 1 of the General Constitution:
It's also going against the autonomy of the local church:
It's become more than what the founders created it to be, which originally was a fellowship of believers. It's now become a governmental agency, complete with the IRS, FBI, and Homeland Security.

Oh brother,
If you don't like the USA move to Cuba. I'm sure Fidel would be glad to have you.
If you don't like the the UPC leave it. No one is putting a gun to your head and keeping you in bondage.
But as long as you are in direct violation of aggreements that you make you are a liar. And guess where liars go.

Dont ask...I wont tell......BUT it would shock many of you that are familiar with this part of the Country.
They are running over 800....
Fasten your seatbelts UC's...this will be the trend...passed in Tampa or not.

I should clarify my statements here . . . to keep this good man from being wrongly bashed by UC's.
I'm not suggesting that it is this Pastor or this church. I was only trying to trip NYLP up into giving more information . . .

Hair Hair!
Sampson would have been forced to get a hair cut or have his licence taken away and dis-fellowship and marked a troublemaker.

Nope! I didn't make any agreement with the UPC, nor do I hold any license with them. And even if I did, I'd do what was suggested by a high-level HQ rep himself . . . I'd write an objection to the television clause, submit it and leave it up to HQ to either give or withhold license.
That way . . .
1) I'm not lying about anything; I've given full disclosure on my disagreement with the television clause; and
2) If HQ so desired, they could withhold sending a license or renewing the license after reading the objection and disclosure.

I can second or third that wherever we are.
In fact my buddy attends down the road UPCI and told me his Pastor said from the pulpit he will not preach against TV and referenced a show he watched in a sermon.

The objection clause has never been accepted for the TV clause.
Nice try though.
