I see what you're saying.
The rebellion I was talking about was the idea that if I have to ask permission, I'll ask permission to do something they really don't like. Yes, I've struggled with this attitude since I was a wee mite. My life would probably be considerably easier if I'd squash that urge more often too.
I probably wouldn't directly let my pastor know I was visiting other churches, not each time at least. I will probably sit down and discuss my thoughts and feelings on this, more than I have already, after I work out a bit more of what exactly those are. Right now I'm feeling an awful lot like telling him I'll be visiting outside of the Apostolic churches due to this rule and not wanting to have to deal with whatever judgement there might be from another church. I almost get the idea that it could cause division between the pastors in the area, if mine is "letting" me go visiting and maybe the other pastors don't "let" their members go visiting.
