If people can't hold on to their beliefs because of participation in a forum, how are they ever going to hold on to their beliefs when they are out in the "real" world? If all it takes are posts on a forum to change one's religious beliefs, then those beliefs were held in a very shallow state. When beliefs are held because someone has prayed, studied God's word without bias, and have embeded those beliefs in the heart, no forum poster can change it. Even those who may have an agenda.
Seems like maybe some didn't really believe what the "conservatives" teach as salvational. And the forum is an easy place to for them to lay the blame.

Just wait until they have to deal with their first hard left-leaning college professor!
I have seen several people fall away at this point since the pat answers they were given in church were quickly blown away.

I dealt with a lot of college professors.
I graduated with high honors and straight A's in my course work, and no professor ever swayed me, though some tried.
I never have feared contact with anybody because of their intellect.

Sometimes stubbornness is not enough to get by.
Sometimes it takes an intellectual response to a question or an attack. That intellectual response is what is lacking. Simply ingraining tradition into our young people will not harden them.
