Who have i talked to thats black? no one, my state is 1 or 2 percent black so ,how many whites have you talked to about it ? Oh and BTW howe is this for shooting your theory down (no pun)http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/04/03...show-injuries/ This guy waa asking for trouble and he got it (he had been caught before with burglary tools) Again my point is when the details come out the white community will accept them as a whole, many in the black community ? they will riot !!! Why to draw attention away from their problems

However, like I said before, mainstream media is in the business of selling sensation and Sharpton gets you all way more worked up and interested than these other voices.
What I see happening now is that many in the white community are so opposed to Sharpton that they are motivated to oppose him no matter the particulars of a case. The danger is that whenever there are real injustices (and there are) and the Sharptons shows up (and they will), we run the risk of people on both sides being polarized because they are distracted by their voices.
It's difficult for me to even have this conversation here as individuals because my brain is screaming "what exactly does Sharpton, Jackson, and Sheila Jackson Lee have to do with this case?"
tstew - I agree with almost all of your points, however, let me say that most of the people who view the black community as "monolithic" do so because the community is very closed insofar as political party and racial issues.
I believe that until the black community becomes more diverse, politically, it will continue to struggle, economically.
The irony of this is that the black community has more in common with Republican party stands, than Democratic ones.

Canam - you are even starting to get on my nerves. You obviously have little to no involvement with the black community and I really fail to see what your point is or why you continue to post in this thread. Go read MLK's letter from the Birmingham jail and then bring something to the conversation.;

Re: Anger + Sadness = RAGE

Please do not be discouraged tstew. We still have a Supreme Justice in Heaven who knows the truth through all the misinformation given to us in an effort to deflect the truth and to confuse the issue.

We should pray to God to show Himself mighty on behalf of truth. He knows how to bring out the truth no matter what mankind does to try to hide it.

May God bless all the innocents in this world who are victims of the system. Someday all believers will live in Christ's earthy Kingdom ruled by Him. There we will always have righteous judgment. I am looking forward to that day.

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/lookout/...175656087.html

A partially-redacted police report detailing the initial investigation in the Feb. 26 shooting death of Trayvon Martin has surfaced.
Reuters reporter Matthew Keys first posted scanned copies of the report to his Twitter account. As the Chicago Tribune noted, the report contains details that conflict with several rumors surrounding the case.

No, PO. I am not offended in these conversations at all. Personally, I find it humorous that you apologize for this and not for all of the times you threatened me with personal bodily harm

Stew, in all seriousness: what has given
me pause more than anything, is you. I want you to know I greatly respect you as a Christian and a friend. The fact that you take a position as you have makes me want to tread carefully - very carefully, because I value your opinion and position in Christ more than a dispute in which I have no real vested interest.
