Re: Some standing here

Sean still quoting OT scripture trying to prove a literal second coming of Christ.

Jesus will build it...Zech 6:13 12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The Branch; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the Lord:

13 Even he shall build the temple of the Lord; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

Sean where does this say this temple is a literal temple on the earth? It does not except in your imagination. Jesus said the "law and prophets prophesied till John" Meaning that they all pointed to the time that John began his ministry declaring the kingdom of God had come. Jesus sent his disciples out to preach the Kingdom of God had come.

Passage after passage in the new testament teach us that we are the temple of God and Christ sits on the throne of our hearts. This is the temple of God this passage is addressing. Not some literal temple in Jerusalem.

The whole point of the cross was God changing from a literal earthly temple to a spiritual temple in the hearts of his people.

So you think the Lord was misleading the prophet, all of Israel and average Christian readers in the passage?

He never meant that He was building the temple Himself, even though it says he would?

I believe it exactly like it says it.

The Lord builds a physical temple, He destroys the earth at the end of the Age, then the temple is never to be seen again, because the LORD is the "spiritual" temple in heaven after the new Heaven and Earth are created......

Rev 21;22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

Sean we know you can't read, beyond "see Jane run" reader series. Or you would understand what is being said.

You continue to ignore all the passages in the NT that tell us that "we are the temple of God" , "Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ." "know you not that you are the temple of God".

You can try all you want to force OT scripture to mean another physical temple, but there is not one place that says there will be another physical temple built and recognized by God as holy. The only temple of God is the church made up of Jew and Gentile, now and forever more.

Rev 21;22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. We the church enter in and become part of this temple today.

And by the way, "all Israel is saved" the same way the whole world is saved today. Through the blood of Christ.

Re: Some standing here

it strikes me that a physical temple would also require physical sacrifices? And apparently over there in physical Israel, this is on the verge of becoming a public reality, and is likely already a private one; meaning that there are Zionists conducting animal sacrifices right now, and pushing to make them public.

Wow you are all banged up when it comes to even the simplest scripture verse.
If I didn't know you from reading hours of your insanity I would think you were kidding but I know you're not. You actually believe the plain reading of Revelation 21:22 means a physical temple is in the New Jerusalem?
All one can do with you from this point on is to mock your every move. You don't care about Bible, or souls. You are simply sadistic.

Little known fact, the Jews tried I believe on two occasions to rebuild the temple in the first century and were stopped. One might say God stopped them. Even today while they have the plans drawn up and even started to conduct animal sacrifices. They still have a major problem, there is a Arab Mosque on the temple mount, and the Arab's are not about to let the Jews tear that down.

But bottom line, even if they could build another temple would not be accepted in the eyes of God. It would be an abomination in the face of the cross. And to think that these Jews that want to build another temple would turn to Christ in the end, is ridiculous. The same spirit that drives them to rebuild another temple, is the same spirit that crucified Christ two thousand years ago. They did not accept him then in the face of the miracles performed by Christ and even rising from the dead.

Another little know fact that futurist won't tell you. The very reason Jerusalem was destroyed, was because they had their anti-Christ, that had set himself in the temple claiming to be God, during the siege by Rome. Had the religious leaders rejected this man, and surrendered Jerusalem would not have been destroyed by Rome.

Re: Some standing here

Only time will tell whether they succeed in building another temple. But I stand on my statement, another temple would be an abomination in the face of the cross. And that God is not behind the Jewish nation as much as Christianity would have us believe.

Christ came to bring salvation to the world, both Jew and Gentile. And his second coming (which happened) was to resurrect all the OT saints and those that had died before 70ad, and to judge those that had crucified him and had not repented. Ie the religious leaders of that day. And he did, just that. Today as Paul stated in 1 thess.
1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
While the word "together" is properly defined as "at the same time" this cannot be the meaning as in the dead in Christ rise first. So we should go with the other meaning, which is in close association. Which would mean that we rise to be with them in the air when we too pass from this life.

The fact that futurist fail to grasp is that God did bring judgment on the world in that generation, first the unbelieving Jews. Using the armies of another country (Rome) just like he did all the other times in the OT when he judged the nation Israel.
