Thank you dear friend. I really don´t know if I should try to borrrow money and go to the states or try to send Michael...Brother Alvear needs some of his family...Please pray that I will know what to do.

I tried to post earlier, but could not get it to go through. Saw this thread when I got in from church, and have been praying for both of you!
Healing for your husband and peace for your mind, as there is no limitation for our God!
May God heal him quickly and lift your spirit immediately!

DEAR Homeland Friends
I am without words to express how much we need your help and prayers at this moment.
Brother Alvear had a terrible wreck completely destroying the heavy duty truck he was driving and injuring himself and Bro. Birmingham. Brother Birmingham is in the ICU unit. I am in shock and have been all day since receiving the news however I have done my best to carry on today even attending a birthday party for a young Christian…sometimes we must smile through our personal tears and heartaches.
Those of you that know Brother Alvear knows he is always joking and teasing and even in great pain he has tried to put on this front but I know he desperately needs someone of his family. His purpose of going to the states was to raise money for churches we are building and try to help our support that has been so low and with each passing day the work continues to grow. So that means the needs are never ending.
I hate to ask for something but I have nowhere else to go but to friends. I feel that either Michael or I need to be with him and he cannot come back to Brazil at the present. So I humbly ask for you to please help me purchase a ticket to the states.
Tickets are rather expensive here due to peak season but if I could raise around 1600 hundred dollars the need would be met.
I need to go and reserve a ticket even if you cannot help this week my travel agent said he would wait a month for us to pay him as he is our friend of many years,
All I need to know if some can help us get this money together? Brother Alvear did receive offering in the states but most were sent to building projects so we really have no personal money for this urgent need.
I know this is a bad time of the year, most have spent on the holidays but my head is hurting trying to think of some other way to raise money but that is all I can think of at the moment.

Needless to say I slept very little and am up early. I am trying to see if I can find a cheaper ticket....please pray.

thanks for all the prayers. I am trying to see if I can find a cheaper flight for either Michael or me to leave within the next 24 hours. The travel agent will wait a month for me to get the fare together.
Brother Alvear does not have any life threatening danger that we know about but cannot get around ( he cannot walk he hurt his leg and knee real bad) but Brother Troy is in the ICU...please pray...thanks
