God didn't condemn witches to death and command that his people not practice such things because it's no big deal. There is a side to this that I think we in the West poo poo because we're philosophical skeptics. The Bible mentions a woman who was a medium who brought her masters much money. This woman followed the Apostles and an actual spirit was cast out of her. This stuff is for real. However, in the case of these children it's a lying accusation.
