The Full Preterists here have been AWOL for a while (Bro. Burke? Dom?) so I don't think anyone will raise to your bait.

I was a dyed in the wool Dispensationalist for most of my life. To me, there was no such thing as "schools of thought" on prophecy. If it was Dispensational then that was BIBLE prophecy. Everything else reeked of FALSE prophecy.

Continued study and paying careful attention to all of the claims over the years sort of mellowed that zeal. Also, having to stand up in front of a crowd of people that you love and care for and having to say some of this stuff over and over AND actually sound like you mean it took its toll.

I've come to the realization that the Bible doesn't necessary tell us what WILL HAPPEN, so much as it tells us WHAT HAPPENS. That's why the Christians of the First and Second Centuries could read the book of Revelation and receive a blessing (Revelation 1:3) - the very same blessing that you and can get from reading it today.

For example, here are a lion with the wings of an eagle and the head of a man and its companion, an ox with the wings of an eagle and the head of a man. These are copies in this picture but the originals were colossal statutes which dated to the Ninth Century B.C.
Right on! I think of those carvings everytime I read Dan 12.

no bait... just nothing of real value to post. and i think Benincasa prefers to be called "Dino" over "Dom."

The assembly that "birthed" me is dispensationalist, though it was never really taught. That said, I didn't pick up the banner of dispensationalism. I was post-trib before I was apostolic. I held the post-trib position for most of my walk. I have looked into forms of preterism. I believe that I know enough of full preterism/fulfilled eschatology to reject it. I have incorporated preterist elements into my eschatology. As I stand today, I am in limbo... in between post-trib futurism and impartial preterism...and don't care enough at the moment to continue with the study of prophecy.

Don't wanta burst your bubble Rose but Baxter is a fake!

If he really believed what he was peddling he, anlong with the other peddlers of false doctrine like LaHaye, would be giving this stuff out for free and not trying to profit off being a false prophet!

After all, the world is gonna end soon and what use is money?

But no, you buy their stuff and they buy a new car and put the money into their little piggy banks!
A lot of assumptions on your part... I have no bubble to burst and Bro Baxter's TV program didn't cost me a cent.
