The Full Preterists here have been AWOL for a while (Bro. Burke? Dom?) so I don't think anyone will raise to your bait.
I was a dyed in the wool Dispensationalist for most of my life. To me, there was no such thing as "schools of thought" on prophecy. If it was Dispensational then that was BIBLE prophecy. Everything else reeked of FALSE prophecy.
Continued study and paying careful attention to all of the claims over the years sort of mellowed that zeal. Also, having to stand up in front of a crowd of people that you love and care for and having to say some of this stuff over and over AND actually sound like you mean it took its toll.
I've come to the realization that the Bible doesn't necessary tell us what WILL HAPPEN, so much as it tells us WHAT HAPPENS. That's why the Christians of the First and Second Centuries could read the book of Revelation and receive a blessing (
Revelation 1:3) - the very same blessing that you and can get from reading it today.
