I didn't ask what the indwelling of the Holy Ghost in Jesus was for. I asked what indwelled Jesus which doesn't indwell us. You haven't answered.

Atthis point, it was at least be polite to acknowledge that I have answered your question.
Of course you haven't given an answer to what indwelled Jesus which doesn't indwell us. We both have the fullness of the Holy Ghost indwelling us. Now what else, other than the Holy Ghost, indwelled Jesus?

Yes we are the temple of the Holy Ghost but Jesus was and is much more than that He was and is God.

Also one thing that should be pointed out is that when Jesus was filled with the Holy ghost it was different from us in that as the following scripture points out He was filled without measure:

..John 3:34.. For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him

Re: Who Is The Holy Spirit?

Seekerman, are you trying to say that we are little gods?

Luke you beat me to that scripture,
..John 3:34.. For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him

When we are full as we can be, of the Holy Ghost, we still are not full as Jesus was. He had no sin.

Jesus was the child of the Holy Ghost, which is the Spirit of God. Therefore He was called the Son of God, and even though He was fully man.

But to answer the question, "Who is the Holy Ghost?" It is the Spirit of God.

I agree that we, as was Jesus, are the temple of God. And we are the temple of God because the Holy Ghost dwells in us as it did Jesus.

I disagree that Jesus was God.

So I can understand and not be accused of putting words in your mouth, are you saying that we are filled partially with the Holy Ghost? In other words, the following scriptures would indicate, in your opinion, that Jesus had more Holy Ghost than Stephen (or us)?

Luk 4:1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,

Act 7:55 But he [Stephen], being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God

Jesus was filled without measure in Luke 4:1 but Stephen was only partially filled in Acts 7:55? Col 2:9 is speaking of how much Holy Ghost a person has, in your opinion?

Nope. I'm saying that Jesus was filled with the Spirit of God, the Holy Ghost, just as we are filled with the Spirit of God, the Holy Ghost.

So, compared to Jesus, how much Holy Ghost do we have? 90%? 50%? 10%?

And please provide scripture supporting your answer.

Yep.

Apparently you have something to say but aren't quite ready to say it.

I assumed you'd read the last few posts where scripture was given where Jesus and Stephen were filled with the Holy Ghost.....
