Most "holiness" preaching types would say they're not saved and need to change their appearance ... that's how I was raised. However, these two are incredible people and when they start praying, wow! A lot of my thinking had to change after meeting and getting to know them.

When we read about whoredoms in ezekiel and God comparing the spiritual adultery with physical adultery, we see word pictures of a very carnal woman. Why in the world people would want to emulate a woman of the night is beside me. If one wants to touch the face of God, there can be no idolatry or erroneous things between the person and God. The answer is to not have all the stuff.

When i was a kid we jokingly called deodorant "no bath". We went to church and had to do farm chores before eveining church. I have been around a lot of folks that had no indoor plumbing. Rich folks don't understand cleaning and fragrant products are not revelant comparisons with painting, rouge, blush and lipstick.

Gossip is speaking to another person about someone else. You kept it up and i see you are justifying it. You would not stop.
Then you kept defending it.
