I'm sorry to bear this news to my dear friends who would like to believe the best of these guys, but these great men of God have been disgruntled and behaving badly for YEARS! And again I say YEARS!

I so wish they would have done this YEARS ago. I wish them godspeed and "Lord bless ya!" and go on git!

But there's a problem, they are keeping their churches that were once affiliated with the UPC. Their decisions affect their saints. The saints are free to go elsewhere...but what if they want to stick with the UPC but now that Brother Holier-than-thou has decided to go with WPF they are up the proverbial creek because their district is so sparsely populated with UPC churches???

Do you people really think these men are thinking of the greater good?

Someone posted a comment on another thread but it is more appropriate to answer it here...

This whole dual membership thing and being on this committee but not doing anything in the UPC....seems like this group wants to start a "political" party in the UPC...the WPF and the UPC. This dual thing is really ridiculous. Either you want to be in something 100% or not. But this whole thing of dual membership and so forth.....just does not sit well.

this is the craziest thing I've ever read on this forum...

how about 49 men who are unable to stay a part of something they personally do not feel is right?

just suppose this has NOTHING to do with the passing of Res4...at least not in the WAY people automatically think.

This didnt happen overnight....it's been a long time coming.

Res 4 was NOT the issue...it was the "out"

sometimes CHANGE is necessary.

it doesnt mean EITHER party is WRONG. They just have different ways of getting things done. They have the same common "goal" but they cannot travel that road together.

UPCI folks are NOT the only ones going to be in heaven...nor will all those in heaven belong to the new group....

its not betrayal or "falling away"......its a change that has been long time coming. Anyone who thinks this is about 49 disgruntled men is sorely confused and sadly mistaken.
