Re: Social drinking?

As I watch the rise and advance of Islamic Fundamentalism... I'm comforted by the Bible's moderate position regarding so many things.

Christianity is clearly the only religion that allows common sense moderation in so many things and the maturation of true spirituality.

The Christ of Christianity is truly the world's only hope.

Re: Social drinking?

IM BACK!!!!! To the original question, I believe that social drinking is ok.

People say all the time it is a stumbling block or it will kill your witness but I disagree. There are many Christian denominations that are perfectly ok with alcohol and despite what most people think, "sinners" could care less if they see a Christian having a glass of wine or a beer.

Christians are to hung up on the dont's that they totally miss the do's

and thats to Feed the Hungry, Clothe the naked, house the homeless, visit the sick and widows. The "church" is so far from the biblical model that I dont know if Jesus would even recognize it as a church of His own making.

Well said Aquila! Fundamentalism should not mean extremism.

Re: Social drinking?

Drinking alcohol is not sin.

What did Jesus do?

Don't forget the bible speaks against being intoxicated as well as not being under other powers or being in our right minds
