Remember the big crusade in the Phillipines a few years back?

Most folks bought those long silk shirts. But when they come back here, they demand that we wear suit/ties.

Maybe they were fitting in with the culture there. Wait, that's a sin too.

We were stationed in the Panama,CZ (70's) and those shirts were considered *Dress* attire then.

My wife is from the Philippines & those shirts are called "Barong Tagalog"
I do have one, but have only worn it once or twice.
It is actually hotter than a suit as it is polyester!

That is a cultural thing.

You will have to ask the Ministers who wear them in the Philippines.
I will wear a suit.


Barong is hotter believe it or not.
