Oh, where do I begin? I am thankful for the many men AND women who have labored in the gospel.!!!
Ok, here goes, in no particular order..just how they come to mind!
1. Bro. Jonathan Alvear
2. Bro. Ballestero
3. Bro. Garret
4. Bro. D. White
5. Bro. Groce
6. Bro. Davis
7. Bro. W. Bass
8. Bro. Lambeth
I have heard in person, Sis. Alvear and Sis. George. Of the several women I have had heard teach and preach, these two women stand out the most in my mind. What a blessing they are!
There are many, many more.... but my espresso hasn't kicked in!

He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? Micah 6:8 KJV
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 1 John 3:2 KJV
Outside of my own pastors, Bible School teachers, peers and other men who I would regard as perhaps favorite 'preachers' I would have to list:
Rev. N.A. Urshan - former UPC Gen. Supt.
Rev. H.E. Scism - former UPC Gen. Foreign Missions Dir.
Rev. George Shalm - former UPC Asian Reg. Field Supervisor
Rev. R.A. Beesley - former Atlantic District UPC Dist. Supt.
I cite these men because they have impacted my life ministerially but also because we've worked with them and seen them up close and personal both or either here at home or in foreign countries.
Therefore ...... they are definitely worthy of the kind of honour and respect that I give them and I thank them for the impact they have had on my life.

I would think that any list of great men who need to be admired should include C.M. Becton. He has one of the sweetest spirits I have ever meet. He made a deep impression on me by being so friendly and genuine in an encounter we had. He treated me as though we had known each other for some time even though it was our first meeting. He took his time to talk to me as if I were important even when I was not in any position to do anything for him and relatively, organizationally wise, a nobody.

I have heard this name all of my life. I don't really remember his preaching, as I was only 5 years old. He was the minister who was preaching the sermon that brought my dad to an altar at Tennessee Campmeeting in Perryville TN many years ago--and he prayed with my Dad that night until he received the Holy Ghost. If not for that sermon, that led my Dad to the altar-- my life would not have been the same.

Tina, you should look around the internet, there are a number of his sermons availble. one has been mentioned here from a GC
"He has exalted his word above His Name"
It is a stand out.
I also remember a School of Missions service he preahed "If the Gospel be hid". If that wont make you want to find a person to bring to christ, you cant be moved.
I remember when we elected him "Pastor Emeritus". We couldnt find him anywhere when the service started. Eventually they found him hiding in one of the back offices! He had to be talked into even coming into the service!
He just kept saying "You good people need to find someone worthy of this honor".
I never knew of a preacher so reluctant to get up before his peers yet so covetted. All my life I heard him refered to as "A pastors, Pastor".
It has been around 20 years since he passed away and you still hear "Papa George used to say" any time you are around DeRidder, or anywhere one of his "boys" is.
