My son works in the sound booth at our church. During youth nights, they put up a notice that says, "please do not use cell phones during service"-he will often flash it up there once when he sees someone pull a phone out, but the second time, he will flash their name before it... Everyone stares at the offender, which does not help the service, but it is funny!

What exactly does that mean? Can they text or read scripture text on the phone?
Seriously? Is that how far technology has invaded our lives, that you'd be okay with using cell phones to access the bible? I think most churches have a screen that they use to project the verses anyway.

We have actually gotten around that "reason" by giving Bibles to any youth group member who only has an electronic Bible...

Can't think of the last service I have been to that electronic bibles weren't in use.

What if they were using a version of the bible on their Kindle or Nook ereader?
