Exactly ! I am for vouchers 100% and dont see what the problem would be with the program.

PO, school vouchers is a republican thing, and I am not for vouchers, because that will do away with the Public Schools. The Public schools receive funding from the Federal Government per child in school. That will reduce the quality of education for less fortunate children. You seem to know quite a bit about the voucher program, can you tell me how it will help our public schools?

Less fortunate. There is a term that drives me crazy.
Also, our Savior said that "The poor you will have with you always".
He was right.

My problem with the "less fortunate" term is with those who choose to be "less fortunate!" Some of the less fortunate (not all, but some) are just too lazy to get out and get a job, choosing rather to draw whatever they can from the government, thus they are "less fortunate!"

I had a young lady tell me she didn't have gas to come to church and all the time she was paying $50 for each carton of cigarettes that she smoked!

Some of the less fortunate seem to always have enough money to buy their cigarettes and drugs. And by the way, while I'm complaining, I think if a person is going to draw funds from the government they should be required to take a drug test. Many of the folks that pay their taxes so the Less Fortunate can get a check have to take a drug test. Let's even up the game!

In a word - competition. We sorely need it. It is a good and healthy way for America.

Do a study on what happened in Louisiana after Katrina.

Basically, New Orleans got rid of the collective bargaining with the teacher's union. That gave them flexibility on salaries and working hours.

The stats show that before Katrina, 64% of the students were shown to be academically unacceptable by the state. That changed to 42% in 2009. In 2007, 50% of students graduated and in 2010, the stats show 90%.

Let's not stifle competition, especially, in education. Our children are our future.

And I want to say that your line of questioning and your references make you suspect, IMO, as a serious poster.

You have got to be kidding me ! the public school system is a joke, the schools dont recieve half the funding put aside for them. We should have the right to choose our childs education system.

Do away with public schools...

sister you are either massively misinformed or you have been talking to people who just take you at your word... Not so here...

You have now stated that republicans want to do away disability and public schools. Do you think the folks here don't read?

I do see you will neither confirm nor deny your commitment to democrat math.

Re: Obamacare waiver pandemic

SS doesn't like answering questions that show go against her viewpoint, either.
I asked her a question many days ago that she never addressed.
Likewise the question I just asked in this thread.
SS - I do answer your questions, why can't you answer mine?
