He will be an elder within a year or two.
Imagine when a 6 year old starts using the "Obey them!" card when ordering you around.

Re: Kid Preacher (UPC) on Today and Fox and Friend
The Fox News headliner is: "Tiny preacher wows the faithful", that says it very well, these "faithful" are just plain stupid. Sorry, this is beyond the pale of mature spiritual people. Let the kid play preacher at home, with some reasonable bounds, but hype it up like it is something out of this world is, yes, stupid.

Again, let me at this congregation with my Free Energy multi-level marketing scheme!
And THIS is "pentecost"? And people wonder why Young Earth Creationists are off their rockers??

I thought to myself that this was probably the common approach to the miniostry of the Word in Pentecostal circles. Therefore there is a lot of Biblical illiteracy and a lot of spiritualism. That gets a little sticky in the translation. Your post comes across as though this man never lays out a Bible study and just free wings it all the time. I'm thinking that being led of the Spirit is more what he is speaking of. There is a difference in feeling led of God to teach the Book of Romans for a succession of weeks as opposed to just doing it because it needs to be taught. Timing in the New Testament church is paramount, IMO. Coming from the Catholic Church and spending a little time after that in the Baptist Church, I can understand his point of view. Make your plans and let God direct your steps. ( Proverbs 16:9)

Re: Kid Preacher (UPC) on Today and Fox and Friend
Eddie and I watched the four year old last night on the National Geographic Channel (not sure what it has to do with geography!). Anyway, it was really extremely sad and embarrassing, in my opinion. Nothing that the child was saying made any sense and people were just hollering and encouraging him. It made the church/pastors look very stupid, and I'm sure they're wonderful people. But the whole thing was utterly ridiculous. The kid was just repeating things that he'd heard and everyone kept telling him how anointed he was.
Things like that can ruin a child. Too much promotion too early is dangerous.
