I can believe it. Damage to a soul is more than collateral damage. Unless people get over some things, the damage will be eternal. We must forgive to be forgiven.

What say ye?
Who's the pastor?

We were told that we were wrong, and if we could not admit we were wrong, and apologize to the church body, it would be best for us to find another church to attend.

So we did.

All over contemporary music (read as "Carman and David and the Giants"), and an evangelist who told us we would "having him dancing again tonight" then blasted us from the pulpit.

The evangelist then went on to have a mental breakdown.....I think it started that night.

The pastor has since apologized and I hold him dear to my heart, and often request his prayers.

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love the Lord, who are called according to His purpose."

I served and serve an awesome God who is always working for my good, even when I don't recognize it!

Thank You, Lord!

UNBELIEVABLE! I was raised (4th generation) Church of God of Prophecy - but left it in 1977 and joined the Assemblies of God. I actually resigned my ministry in COGOP and they would NOT allow me to leave. The General Overseer would not accept my resignation as I "had committed no sin". As soon as I joined the A/G - They dis-fellowshipped me for "departing from the faith"!

I saw MANY dis-fellowshipped in the COGOP as a young man because they remarried. So YES - I can truly say that I WAS DIS-FELLOWSHIPPED!!!!!!!!!
