So I guess you would be considered kind and judgmental?

Is this your example of persuasion by the spirit of love and tolerance?

Or is this what happens when you just can't resist adding just one more insult?

You couldn't help yourself, was it really so irresistible to you that you had to post the above? Is your post really a reflection of the spirit of love?

You know there may have been some individuals who would of agreed with Carp and they didn't post maybe because they saw Carp and I come together on this thread and go forward, or didn't you happen to read any of that? Did you happen to read any of those posts who disapprove of this thread?

Spirit of Love? You know something, I want to comply with the rules of the forum and with what the administration of this forum wants from all of us, but you think maybe there are some who still strive to be antagonistic with me? Is that a spirit of love?

DM, please re-read this thread and consider some of the things that were said among all who posted. Carp posted that he and I came to an agreement and I would like to ask your forgiveness also if I have offended you in the past.

Maybe we can start over and go forward from this point.

You know, my intent is never to offend, although some are offended when I challenge them either to stand behind what they have said or when their logic doesn't build on itself.

I also do not back down from any challenge and can take my lumps, but in that, I am also willing to admit that I over-reacted or that I was wrong.

While I may have been a little too over the top on this one (I also wanted really to see how B.B. and others would react), I keep my opinion that there are some here who will never ever admit that someone else who does not agree with them could actually be right.

This goes for people across the spectrum, on the far left as well as on the far right.

Hello, Brother Ben,

I can see how some would take your post as harsh, but I want to say I appreciate your obvious attempts at a "kinder and gentler" approach.

BTW I am not offended by you at all, Blessing to you and all yours.

But it's really hard to figure out who is who around here.

I see people insulting a church leader due to his comments about the kind of fellowship that goes on in here, I see people come here hurting and admitting they've strayed and they're accused of lying, then I see people starting threads that insult other members of this very forum, then I see someone say that another is close to taking the Lord's name in vain due to having Jesus name on their post yet what they say isn't representative of what Jesus would endorse...... and then end their post with "God bless you too by the way".

Jhn 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

It seems different people have different definitions of the kind of "love" Jesus was talking about here, but one thing is crystal clear to me in that verse and it's "all men". That means people in the world, people in the church, people in a church, some form of religion, no form of religion...... all.

You guys may understand each other and may in your heart love one another on whatever level your understanding of love is, but I can promise you it doesn't look that way to all people.

I've looked beyond the human error in misunderstanding one another and the natural human reactions to offenses on here because that's part of the way we are made and none of us are perfect and there is so much good here. I know that these forums can be used to do much for the good of the kingdom of God, I've seen it happen and I've experienced that. But when people take these kind of direct, intentional stabs at one another, I sure don't want what they have.

Funny how an outsider who doesn't know anyone, therefore has no friends on here so no favorites and doesn't have any sides to take, can see most people here doing the very things they dislike their brothers and sisters doing.

Sis...I can appreciate your point of view, and sometimes folks do cross a line in their speaking to one another..

BUT!

More often than not, the problem is with the tone in which a post was READ. We do not have the advantage of hearing the spoken word here, to tell where a speaker is putting their emphasis. Sometimes we READ it how we THINK the poster intended...and we are dead wrong.

In this format, you have to allow more leeway in your intrepretation of what is said and the spirit in which it was said. More often than not, it's TIC and all in good humor.

Many of his post do offend, attack, insult and get him banned.

I still can not believe the way he ripped off Atlanta Bishop with his chainsaw post that earned him a ban.

I for one will say; his post are offending and he is wreck-less with a chainsaw.

I see no art work, creativity nor edification in his chainsaw post.

He gets no pat on the back from me.

Sometimes it may appear he is making a mess. But if you'll step back, with an open mind and Bible, and give him time, you’ll find that he was creating a great work after all.

A friend of mine said that men never get as mad as when you tell them the truth. Maybe that is why Benincasa is so often misunderstood?

Keep up the good Word Elder Benincasa!!!
I do not agree.

I admit, sometimes I get offended by what Bro B says, and it rubs me the wrong way....

then later I may read something else that makes me realize that just perhaps I was wrong in my assessment of Bro B's post and intent.....b/c if you read something funny he says, then go back and read an "offensive" post - it doesnt seem so offensive....it would appear the problem is with my reading, not his posting.

Same with DA....

They are both very solid in what they believe and can back it up.

that sometimes is misunderstood.

and sometimes they can just flat out bug the snot out of you..

but hey, its all good!
