I was saddened when I read this thread, because I do know one of the pastor's sons, although it's been a long time since I've had any interaction with him. I remember him to be a true Christian gentleman, and I have no reason to believe anything's changed.

I've always know you NOT to become involved in an issue, unless you felt you had good reason.

Why, thanks PO! I appreciate your kind words, but to be honest, I've not always been quite as astute.....sometimes I open my big mouth when I shouldn't.
This issue I guess just got under my skin because I just hate to see this kind of stuff aired publicly.
But, thank you again!

"known" - corrected from my last post - arghhh!
I haven't followed this thread and happened to just look at the last couple of pages. I saw you were engaged and thought, "Hmmmm, he is really upset and must have a reason for doing this, I wonder what it is? I guess we know people after posting for so long. lol
You then explained toward the end. So, yes, I knew you well enough to know you had a reason.
And you are very welcome. Didn't want you to get beat up with donuts and coffee for nothing.

I have a banana, nutmeg, cake doughnut recipe that you would love. I've only made it twice as it's a lot of trouble, but well worth the trouble. Michael would probably be satisfied with a Pop Tart.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: A Wrecked Church!
Since I left my job to go to nursing school, I haven't been getting that 5 miles per shift or so walk in. I've been sitting sluggishly on my bottom, studying. I have put on a pound or two. I am not happy. About a year ago, I lost about 25 pounds and I have felt great. I do NOT want to put that back on. I am going to try and go easy on the coffee and donuts today.

A pop tart in each hand and a fluffy blue hair protector - Picturing that now - nice!
