LOL! Seriously, we are normally always in agreement on anything we make decisions on. I know that would not be one we will ever have to make.

God spoke to my husband and told him that he is a saint builder and that is why he never called him to pastor. He told my husband that if he became a pastor there would be some separation between him and the saints and he didn't want that for him.

I'm a very private person and would never make it as a pastor's wife. Many times I have to spend time alone and the constant calls would never work for me. I couldn't handle it.

Your last paragraph reminds me of a book I read as a new convert. I don't know if it was Andrew Urshan's book or not. The story was about a group of evangelists who traveled from town to town. They had an agreement that if they had a need they had to stay behind, speak to no one but God, wait for the prayer to be answered and then meet up with the team in the next town.

One of the young boys had holes in his socks and had to stay behind. He prayed and the very next morning an elderly woman knocked at the door and handed him a pair of socks, may have been more than one pair. She told him that God impressed on her to give them to him.

That built a lot of faith in me, as a new convert, and I believed from that day, that is how God is.

He has proved to be that way in my life. Ask and you shall receive!!! Amen!

Here is a picture of me...sometime in the late 70's...

You can see, I already developed my stubborn streak...

In Keeping with the Season.....

What's funny is that my Mom still has the records that are shown in the picture (Brenda Lee, and Music from How the Grinch Stole Christmas), we brought her record player over to my house, and dug out all her old records and played them while we decorated cut out cookies.

No, apparently something was laying on the keys because it's still in perfectly great shape!

Re: The Early Years...

These are a little hard to see....One is with my sister, who was quite a bit older than I, and the other is on Easter Sunday.... Can't see it that well, but I loved my bonnet and gloves with my white shoes and purse to match! I still don't know who the little girl is on the right in PJ's..... She managed to be several of our family pics.... she musta been my cousins friend cause I have no idea who she is!

Re: The Early Years...

Lady C - - the little girl is probably a neighbor just wanting to be like you other girls.

It's almost sad.
