Re: Women speaking in church
So god promised this gift to us and you have known him for 25 years and he is doing gods work according to this.... This is a real story...for reasons I could never post we had a couple like this in our work. Brother Alvear (my husband) put the women over the work...her husband was and is a christian but does NOT have the HG, we let him help in many ways in our work but not pastor a church...... and he does not think he has gods spirit in him (aka holyghost/spirit)

Re: Women speaking in church
Before you judge there are a lot of facts you do not know and things I would never put on a forum.
God's work was construction, helping in many ways but being a pastor is different...They came in this situation to our church...we helped them and today at least they are happily married...their children love us and we are friends. However to be a pastor in our church a person must have the HG. If he says he loves God and I know he does I believe him but he says he does not have the HG...then HE knows whether he does or not...In our work his wife was the pastor not him. She is a precious godly lady.

On what basis do you conclude this (the bolded part)?
I dont see in the Bible that Paul was addressing this specific issue you're referrring to. Is this conclusion drawn from biblical, or extra-biblical, material?

If the MAN says he doesn't have the Holy Ghost, I guess he should know, shouldn't he?

Re: Women speaking in church
I tried to use a rare case to show that sometimes circumstances prove a woman is a better choice at the moment. In no way am I saying women are to rule over men...I am just saying we live in an inperfect world...

34Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.

What about that statement - "... as also sayeth the law?" An understanding of Paul's premise here might be very helpful. The nearest match for this context that I can find is Numbers 30:3-16.
In this passage a woman's vow is binding only if her father consents or her husband if she is married. Either way, the things spoken by the woman in the congregation of Israel were only binding if the male over her house consented to her pledge.
