I agree that this is what you get when Christians try to enter an evil dark world. they will be shredded by the evil ones. Now I am not excusing what happened. I am saying that there is no person without something in their past that if brought into the open, would be terribly devastating.

I have brought hurt and a reproach to my family, close friends and the fans of our show with my actions.
The last few years, while publicly stating I was fighting against immorality in our country I was hiding my own personal failures.
As I am learning the hard way, we have the freedom to choose our actions, but we do not get to choose our consequences. I deeply regret all the hurt I have caused so many by being such a bad example.

Amen, go down the line and you will see that Ted Haggard got a huge amount of publicity in the secular eye "Jesus Camp" and in Richard Dawkins' documentary "Root of All Evil?" This was to get his image hot in the mind of the public, then blow him up in front of everyone, complete with crack smoking homosexual partner. The man behind the curtain, lost the curtain years ago. He is standing in plain sight and no one will do a thing about him. Actually, they sort of like him, they really like what he does. They don't want to admit that, but they still always drive slow past a bad car accident. They just mutter under their breath that they thank Jesus it wasn't them. As they do now. They thank God it wasn't them, and are happy to believe it is not them.

makes no sense to me for Christians to get on TV. As soon as you establish what you stand for, those that hate you (which for Christians is the world they are projecting to) will seek to destroy you.
