For an org that has taught modesty, yes it will be appalling to some.

DA, The fact is TV appearances by those in the UPC will not make organizational headlines at this time - IT'S CONTROVERSIAL. It is not a secret. There is no conspiricy here. People disagree about it strongly so there can be no official endorsement - I understand it completely. There is no need to impune the organization over it.

An organizational youth rally of more than 17,000 people seems like an official endorsement to me....

Who is impugning the org over this ... Clearly decisions were made by certain individuals to parade this young lady now ... she's a headline now ... Why? -- is a valid question, methinks.

... Who made that choice .... not the fellowship ... but TG and his gang of merry men.

Why now? They had to know it would create a stir in this present climate.

Why now?

Because the organization is becoming more tolerant and relevant to the culture they live in?

Because she is now in the prime age of those at the Youth Congress?

TG and his gang of merry men? Whatever the motive... it was a great idea, and it does not mean the planners endorsed every dress the girl has ever worn.

This is still a silly thread - even if I am posting on it.

How old is this girl? Someone said 13, but I thought I saw "high school senior" somewhere in the article.
