The point trying to be made here is that attitude that because of the "five fold" ministry that we are somehow more special and deserving of recognition... than other members of the body... and the verse I quoted a few posts back made reference to Jesus himself saying....
If you want to be greatest in my kingdom, seek to become the least....
It is that kind of mentality that we should look for in the ministry... and indeed in every aspect of our lives ... each and every one of us... myself included
Is Unregistered seeking to be the least in the kingdom of heaven?

This is one of the most ridiculous and hyperbole filled arguments I've ever seen from anyone? You say, "I don't see the organ player being called by a special title." LOL Hello!!!!!!!!!!!! You used their title in the sentence... Organ Player.... or in some churches, Organist!!!!!!! Dear Gussie!!!!!!
So, you should never call your Minister of Music, the Minister of Music? Or the Praise and Worship Leader, the Praise and Worship Leader? Or the Church Janitor the Church Janitor?
Dear Gussie... that is the most ignorant thing I've ever heard!!!! Seriously.
You still have provided NO PROOF, NOTHING WHATSOEVER, that by the meer existence of a title, that the holder of the title therefore believes they are more important or greater than those with out it. You know why? Cause it just isn't a broad brush that will paint everyone accurately. It's a leap of assumption that is baseless, but grounded totally in your own personal distaste for title. That's it!

I just did a word search on "minister of music" in my bible software... no where to be found.... purely this means that all churches that have one is going down the wrong road and needs correction. Forget that music is all through the bible as worship... just like respect for leadership is...
And you know what? There's nothing in the whole Bible that says anyone ate a tomato and mayonaise sandwich on fresh white bread on a hot summer's day... therefore all of us Southerners that have done so are OUT OF THE WILL OF GOD and should be sent off the church grounds!!!!!
Come on... let's be a better student of the Word than this, and use the brain God gave us. All through out the Scripture, those in Spiritual authority were acknowledged in the office they held, prophet, pastor, bishop, etc through various writings. Just because we don't have a conversation recorded within the canon of Scriptures where somebody said, "Hey Apostle Paul, is it okay if I call you Apostle Paul? Or do you prefer Paulie?" doesn't mean it's any less appropriate to show that due respect of anyone that is a servant leader within the body of Christ.

Poor comparisons.

Timmy, Again, the point is totally missed. Part of our ministry is to help hurting Pastors by being an Accountability Partner and Confidant and YES, I do have an Accountability Partner! lol
A Coach does not sit in the stands as a spectator and scream insults at those on the field doing their job! It might be nice for some to actually look up the word COACH! LOL

You present a premise within this thread that the mere existence of a title, and calling the minister by that title, then means that person thinks they believe they are better than the other servants of Christ.... so I'll ask for now the THIRD TIME..... where is the proof of that assertion? Below I've pasted where I asked it before....

Re: First Post as The Pastor's Coach
Bro. Robbins, These guy will never get it. They know it all and are arm chair quarterbacks. Most of them feel rejected in the mainline church and come on here to take their frustration out on the ministry. We just give them fuel for their little fire. They are not ministry and have never done ministry and are highly critical of ministry and buildings and anybody anywhere that is successful in ministry. This is exactly why I try but then get tired of their little petty arguments. Things never change and that is why good people that made this forum are no longer here - they make a difference in lives every day but come on here to get slammed and criticized for giving their lives to help hurting humanity. Some of these are so rude and obnoxious and can use cuss words and dirty slang and then those of us that say something about it are in the wrong. At times you think maybe you can have a civil conversation with them but then that goes south quickly when they find out you do not agree with their Anti-Church rhetoric. I am just about done with it again! Unbelievable!

All I asked is where in scripture where they were addressed by titles such as apostle so and so. You and pastorscoach provided none. I didn't post anything about motives of them that are called by titles.
