Prayer changes things

We have heard it said so many times, Prayer changes things.

Preachers have gotten red faced, veins popping out their necks, sweat rolling down their face and screamed at the top of their lungs, "PRAYER CHANGES THINGS!!!"

I am not debating that there is power in prayer or that at times prayer does changes 'things', but I have experienced that at times it is not 'things' that change as much as it is ME that changes. When I pray sometimes God changes me and when God changes me the things don't need changing.

I think before we look for things to change we may need to look inside and see what we need to change about us. Perspective may be a key word, when I pray how I preceive the things around me changes. When I pray I preceive things differently than before.

When I pray I may need for God to change a few things, but I also may just need him to change me.

Very good post, Bro. Miller. I tried to come up with something profound and life changing to add to it. But, couldn't think of a thing... You said it all.

We see things all about us that we feel needs to be changed. But, change often begins at our own front door. God bless you.

Great thought, awesome post!! If only we could all adjust our vision, to look inward and upward!
