Decision
My husband and I are in a situation that we have never been in. Kinda scary.
We want to be where God wants us to be.
We have done all we know to do. A couple weeks ago God told my husband to "wait", so that is what we are doing.
But while we are waiting there is discouragement and we at times feel like giving up.
Pray for us to hold on and when it comes time to make a decision that it be the right decision and that we will know for sure without a doubt that we are doing what God wants us to do.
Thanks for praying for us.

I don't want to sound trite or clicheed, but there are times when we just need to stand still.
This is an editorial from a recent issue of the Pentecostal Evangel.
There may be some thoughts or words here for you.
What Are You Waiting for in 2008?
Hal Donaldson, Editor in Chief
Are you praying for God to issue you new marching orders in 2008? Perhaps you sense a change is coming but you don't know what it is. You simply long for God to make His way clear to you and bring an end to your waiting game. If that describes your circumstances, please know you are not alone.
Following are principles to ensure you don't just tread water while waiting on the Lord's direction:
1. Remain persistent in prayer. Breakthroughs come through fasting, daily prayer and Bible reading.
2. Don't be afraid to engage in candid conversations with God. But be wary of sharing your frustrations with too many people, especially those who haven't learned to tame the tongue.
3. Consider yourself a servant-in-training and take advantage of the ministry opportunities God places before you where you are. No task should be viewed as too big or too small.
4. Remember that waiting on God isn't an excuse for not working for God.
5. Remain faithful to your current responsibilities. Don't become so preoccupied with your future that you neglect today's obligations.
6. Do not be in a hurry. Let God open doors at the right time. Making a move at the wrong time will only lead to unnecessary hardship.
7. If you don't have clarity, don't move in a direction that may prove to be the wrong one. That will only cost you precious time if you're forced to retrace your steps. Faith is hearing from God and stepping out. Presumption is stepping out and hoping God is going before you.
8. Seek the counsel of a godly pastor or senior adult. God confirms His plans for us in prayer, by His Word and through others. Senior adults have a wealth of experience and wisdom to offer. Tap into that database of knowledge when facing major decisions.
9. If you make a mistake, embrace God's mercy and grace and ask Him to help you get on the right path.
10. Remind yourself that God is more concerned about your spiritual growth and obedience today than He is about your geographic location or job title tomorrow.

Not sure what you are facing exactly but have been in a place where God says to wait (not easy) & have felt discouragement creep in to the point of entertaining the thought of what's the use?
Be assured God knows where you are.
The very hairs of your head are numbered.
When it seems that he isn't working he is.
Praying for God's Grace to uphold you, for his divine mercy to protect you, and for his faith to sustain you until the way is made clear!

I know to pray for others when I am faced with a trial or decision. I will pray the Lord guides you and directs you.
He wants you to be happy in what you do.
Happy and secure so you can bless others...
2008 will end up bigger and happier for you as you close out 2008 and look at 2009. In Jesus Name!

Sis. Trent4,
God sees your desire to please Him. and also we know that God's
Word tells us that "They that wait upon the LORD SHALL renew their
strength. They SHALL mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run
and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.". We are also told to
"not be weary in well doing, for in due season you will reap IF you faint
not." Waiting teaches us patience. In our patience possess we our souls.
Patience is not listed in Gal. with the fruit of the Spirit, but in II Peter 1:
beginning with verse 5, and in verse 6, it is listed. Read verses 5-10. I
believe these are added for the mature saint of God. If the expectant
mother could not wait patiently for nine months, what would happen.
When seeds are sown, we can't expect them to be up above the ground
the next day or so. There will always be that patient waiting in life.
Just trust Him with it all. He sees your desire to please Him and He sees
your desire to not get out of His Will. May He keep you both steady and
strong in Him.
Why don't you strike those words "giving up" from your vocabulary, in
Jesus Name. Words are powerful, for good or for bad. We were never
allowed to use or think the words, "quit school" so we eleven graduated,
several with honors. My husband and I have never used the word, "divorce"
in our 48 yrs. of marriage. It is not acceptable in our family. Todate our
six adult are all married to their original spouses. The youngest married
11 yrs., the eldest will be married 26 yrs. the first week of Feb. "As a man
or woman thinketh in his/her heart, so is he/she!! Whatsoever things are
true, honest, just, pure, lovely or of good report, if there be any virtue, if
there be any praise, THINK ON THESE THINGS>
May He direct your path, in Jesus Name!!
Blessings,
