Just curious anyone on here have an MBA? What's it like earning one, how has it affected your earning power or your life in general?

Two of our staff pastors got their MBA's. It was tough work, but they did it! Sadly, it didn't really affect their pay at church like it would in a secular job. But they knew that going into it. They did it because they are ambitious and wanted to do it for themselves.

I have come to realization that my Masters in Counseling can only take me so far in areas that I want to pursue, so I might go back and get a MBA online.

Actually, my computer was messing up and inputing all of my letters in reverse order...I had to restart. No idea why that happened. LOL

Translation: I have an uncle who got an MBA after working for a few years (<10) as an electrical engineer. He now negotiates contracts between his company and the government in aviation. His engineering knowledge help him know what the heck he's negotiating for, as opposed to the others, who just see the technical jargon as words on a page. I understand that his income is quite a bit higher than in engineering, although I've never asked for specifics.

Lots of good online MBAs out there...I've looked into it myself.

My husband has an MBA and it hasn't really helped him in terms of income. It probably depends on the field and the circumstances.
