This was sent to me today from WNOP I think she puts it quite well in saying
that perilous times are here.
She doesn't endorse a candidate or party but endorses the Lordship of Jesus!
I think we need to do the same!
Personally, I think both political parties have thier own interests at heart and not the American peoples!
Occasionally I feel constrained to ask all of us to unite in specified prayer, and I believe this is one of those times.
Our world is reeling with unrest - politically, materially, economically, socially and spiritually. We are all so closely interconnected that whatever happens almost anywhere can affect us almost everywhere.
As Americans we have lived our personal lives somewhat above the fray and therefore have probably become somewhat complacent in earnest prayer concerning us as a nation. Presently, we are in an economic and spiritual crisis and we are facing a very important presidential election. These events have unleashed a whirlwind of spiritual activity that seeks to bind, distract, and demoralize the church in this crucial hour.
As the body of Christ we need to rise up and pray with the authority that is ours. We need to pray "according to the working of his mighty power". (
Eph 1:19) This power, available to us, raised up Christ from the dead and set him above all principality, power, might and dominion. Jesus Christ has been set above all political systems and people who front these systems. It is our responsibility to pray in such a way as to exalt Christ. "I, if I be lifted up," Jesus said He would draw all men to him. It is not us, or our church system, it is Jesus who needs to be lifted up.
In praying for the current events of our day let us boldly confess that Jesus is Lord of all. Let us pray, "Thy Kingdom Come". When we do this lesser powers will bow to the name above all names - Jesus.
