Do You Respect Others?
I was wondering something, seeing as there is such a diverse opnions, & theologies, on here from all backgrounds, do you respect others whose viewpoints are not yours?
What is the criteria for respect?
A friend?
A colleague?
A fellow American?
My rule of thumb is this, I respect others if they don't get an attitude about it.
I respect others ax they respect me.
I respect others if there is no sin involved.
(Say someone says something, but you know they are lying.)
I respect others until there is a "valid reason" not to.
What are your criteria.

Re: Do You Respect Others?
Without even reading the initial post I can answer "Not as much as I should".

Re: Do You Respect Others?
Yeah, for the most part. Except spiritual abusers. I have a hard time respecting them. Actually I don't respect them at all although I do try to be civil.
But yeah, I don't have a problem with anyone who has a different opinion than me. That's cool. I like it.
Well, except for snotty chicks from B-town that think they know it all.

Sometimes, if they are to be trusted.

I have to honestly answer the same way.
I am getting better about it. They say as a man ages his waist expands and his mind narrows. Well, my waist has certainly expanded (I weigh almost 50 pounds more than I did when I was a senior in high school in 1955/56) but my mind has also expanded. I am not as narrow minded as I used to be. I still need improvement though.
