Has Anyone Read, "The Shack?"

I've heard this is soon to be on the bestseller. Has anyone read this? I was just wondering what your thoughts are, if so.

The Shack
by William P. Young

"This book has the potential to do for our generation what John Bunyan's "Pilgrim's Progress" did for his. It's that good!"

Haven't read it and in fact this is the first I have heard of it.

No real problem exists over the use of "The Name" in everthing else done in the Church. Why then should there exist great controversy over the use of the "The Name of the Godhead" in water baptism?

Re: Has Anyone Read, "The Shack?"

Currently reading "The Shack." The author is deifnitely a gifted writer and it is an intriguing story, but I'm not too comfortable with the representations of God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and Wisdom. I do not consider myself closed minded or hard line, but I do consider myself to very much love God and be in relationship with God, and at the same time respect and revere him. I'm uncomfortable when sacred things are diminished to the ordinary. Rather let the ordinary aspire to the holy things. Too much literary license for me in this book.
