My 14 year old son is preparing for his second missions trip. last year he went to Costa Rica for a month, and this year he is going to Romania for a month. He has raised half of what he needs and I wanted to throw this out there to see if any of you might want to help him on his way to Romania.
Ladies and gentlemen we have a change of venue. By the time Cody met his financial goal for securing his trip to South Africa all the slots were full . We know however, that God has a plan and the steps of a righteous man are orderd by the Lord and that all things work together for His good. Cody is instead going to Romania July 7-August 2.
Here is some info about his trip
"In a country that lived for decades under the curtain of Communism, many Romanians live in an environment where faith is seen as empty, cold, and pointless. Street children and orphans grow up without values and purpose, and they often wander homeless and revert to crime as a way of life. Meet this growing need by facilitating camps for orphan children and bringing them needed supplies. Teach hundreds of children about Jesus by putting on neighborhood children's programs with Biblical values, songs, and huge blow-up games! You will not only share about Jesus through a camp program for the orphans, but you will help facilitate a dental clinic!
While learning about Jesus, they will get their teeth checked by a dentist that we bring with us. You'll do evangelism on the streets, parks and in shopping malls. We'll use sports like basketball, music and dance to reach out to the youth because the target is not only children but the youth of the nation. A lot of youth will be on the streets and you can share your testimony with them. Many of them know English and you'll be able to communicate directly to them. You'll also have the opportunity to reach out to the people in the countryside of Bihor where it seems like they live 100 years back in time. You will see kids from all walks of life come to Jesus and make a lasting impact for eternity."
There is a reason why God changed the circumstances of Cody's Mission. But we still need your help. He has made his halfway goal of $1600.00 this is an amazing accomplishment, however he still has a lot of money to raise in very little time (a month to be exact.)
