Prayer request for Will Smith-possibly his movie

My wife who stays current with Hollywood events has just told me a sad story. She said that earlier today the Actor Will Smith made a public announcement that he considers himself an alcoholic and that he going to enter into rehab.

I bring this to the attention of everyone so that we can pray for him that the Lord would shine light into Smith's darkness and not only free him from his addiction, but save his soul.

I had dinner with a friend Friday night that admitted to us that she was an alcoholic.

She said she's a functioning alcoholic - and her father is and her brother too.

She just lost her 21 year old son to suicide a couple months back.

It's so foreign to me so it makes it so hard for me to understand, but my heart was just broken for her.

Prayer is all the hope these people have.

admitting this to yourself is always the first step. Before they do that trying to help them is a lesson in frustration

I am afraid someone may have been confusing Will Smith's character in his new movie with reality.

In the new movie "Hancock" Will Smith plays an alcoholic Superhero. I have a feeling someone read an interview with Will Smith talking about this character and thought he was talking about himself.

It would be huge news if Will Smith admitted he was an alcoholic and I did a google search and came up with nothing.
