Chloe

Our new Boston Terrier puppy didn't make it. My dear, heartbroken husband called me this morning with the news (from the vet). Parvo got the best of her. We're going to pick her up this afternoon and bury her under the front flower bed.

*sigh*

I think this was in the PM that Pressing-On posted to her thread, but I have never seen my husband so smitten with a dog--or any other animal--and he is simply devastated. I really can't stand to see my husband cry. It makes me cry buckets.

Say a prayer for him today!

In the meantime, we have made several calls to the breeder, who isn't answering the phone. (of course ) We aren't even going to try to get our money back--I doubt we could anyway--but we are going to file a complaint, and let the local newspaper know that she sold a puppy with Parvo. Hopefully, they will remove her ad. Puppies can get the virus after they've had their first shot, and up until they're completely immunized, but since we know what the incubation period is, and she started acting sick the first night we brought her home, we're pretty sure the breeder knowingly sold us a sick puppy.

Re: Chloe

Aw man. I hate to hear that. I had a puppy who died from Parvo several years ago and it was the saddest thing to watch her.

I'll say a prayer for you guys, Miss B.

I'm sorry for Jeff's loss,...but we have a dog that would love to cheer him up.We would gladly give him Tito for free and there's nothing wrong with him except he's not quite potty trained, but that 's no big deal.Let us know if he's interested.

You're very funny.

While I truly appreciate the sacrificial generosity you are showing here, we really wouldn't want to take Tito from his family.
