What kind of church is this?

Revelation chapter 2 & 3; Church of Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamos, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, or Laodiceans.

I would like to know how people feel about their home church in relation to the churches in Revelation.

If you wish please share why you feel that way.

Thanks,

Out of those seven assemblies there were only two that the father found no fault with. The other five he told them to repent or they would not have life.

Most assemblies fit in with the five.By the way I'm the only one I know who are like the two.

Re: What kind of church is this?

I see my home church as two churches. The church in Smyrna and the church of Philadelphia.
The church of Smyrna. Just looking at the history of the church, (which I have been at for 18 years), we have always struggled. Money has never just flowed into the account. God has always blessed and we have never missed a bill or had to close the doors because of cost. We have a church building built in the late 1930's. It has problems. The building is very small. Still God has moved time after time and people have come and then moved on. Many have stayed with the truth, but because of jobs, town, school, you name it they move off. I understand. We are working on a building program but, WOW, the cost of things. We are very rich in love not only for Jesus but vistors. There are other oneness churches in the area. People have said that we are the most open to them and welcome them no matter their background. We are rich with prayer warriors. People that will pray and fast with you and for you. There is more to life that the riches that only some people see. We have a great group of young people (teens), that want to learn about God. That are not afaird to get up and sing, that want to go to youth services. We have a wonderful pastor and his family. Sometimes we are looked down on because of our building and because of the members we have. It seems we have more than the so called fair share of outcast, but God has used them to bring in more souls than most. So yes we are poor from the material stand point, but we are very RICH were the Lord is concerned.
The Church of Philadelphia. We have been under some harsh times for a while. Mostly sickness in church members and church members families. We have not gave in. We are still standing up for the truth. He has opened doors. He has healed many of the sick and I'm looking forward to much more. We must be watchful and ready. I don't want to be caught like the 5 foolish were. Stay true to Him. My home church is doing just that.

Re: What kind of church is this?

The bottom line is,if the assemblies would repent and get the sin out they would be off to a good start.
