December 7, 1941

I saw this painting in a Nursing Home in Gainsboro, Tennessee where Lola and I was visiting my cousin. I just wanted to share it to honor the brave men who lost their lives on this date... December 7, 1941. And, to honor the memory of all who have given their lives to protect our freedoms.

Yeah, its a very moving painting. I wish it was clearer. The "ghosts" of the fallen soldiers reaching out to comfort the one that grieves for them. Powerful painting.

Great painting! Dad served the wounded in WWll.

Not that it matters, but isn't that the Vietnam Memorial Wall?

It looks like it to me. However, the sentiments expressed are pure and definitely appropriate for today.

God bless America and those who serve her.

Pearl Harbor was on my Mom's 9th birthday, but she didn't realize the severity of it back then - just that everyone was upset and sad on her birthday.
