morning on my way to work. My car is totaled. I totaled the boat that I hit. I have a dozen visible bruises and more sore/bruised spots that aren't some shade of black/purple/blue. I have glass embedded in my scalp and forearms. I lost quite a lot of hair while I was washing out the glass. I can barely move. But, I'm alive and, though I am sore, unbroken. My car was merely a possession that can be replaced. It totally bites that I have to replace my car, but it's better than leaving my babies without their mama to raise them. I was not buckled up. I could have easily gone through the windshield. I'll post some pics when I get them uploaded from my phone to my PC. For now, I'm just ever grateful that God protected me in spite of my own stupidity and irresponsibility.

I know that this was all painful, but I'm glad it was not as bad as it could have been. Thank God. If the impact was enough to total a car and boat, it was certainly enough to have totalled you. God is a Keeper.

Praise the Lord Jesus Christ for keeping you safe, and your children still with a mother.

I am glad you are ok and I hope that this will make you start buckling up. I can't imagine anyone this day and age not using their seatbelts. There is overwhelming data that the chances of it saving your life is many times greater than it will cause you harm.
Just yesterday in my area a college studnet who had been drinking died in a wreck that the police said he would have walked away from had he been using his seat belt.
20+ years ago when the law said we had to wear seat belts I thought I would never get used to it and would always hate it. However it no time at all I got used to it and feel insecure if it is not buckled.
I have been in a fairly bad car wreck before with neck and back issues from it so I can feel for you! I never believed in whiplash until it happened to me. I imagine you were a lot more sore the day after your wreck than the day it happened.
God Bless

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
Quote from Ethel Goss (widow of 1st UPC Gen Supt. Howard Goss) book "The Winds of God"
Thank God you're alive and safe! I am a seat belt fanatic, ever since I totaled a car about 15 years ago. My kids were with me, and it could have been SO much worse. I feel naked without a seat belt on now.
I'm happy to hear that you are ok. Will be praying that the next few days will be as painless as possible. I know it's always worse for the next week or so than it is the day of the accident.
I appreciate your honesty in letting us know you didn't use your seatbelt, and I'm sure you have learned your lesson. So.............. 'nuff said
