Spring Concert Tours
I've been able to attend two concerts this year - which is more than the past 5 or so years combined.
Rock and Worship Roadshow Tour with
Mercy Me
Jeremy Camp
Tenth Avenue North
Addison Road
Hawk Nelson
and
Hello Love tour with
Israel Houghton
Chris Tomlin
I recommend going to both if they come through your city or nearby.
The RWRT tour is $10 cash for the 5 bands ... can't beat that price. Plus Mercy Me sold their cds for $5, including their new cd/dvd. The other bands had their cds for $7 and $10. It was packed though, so get there early if you go. Me and my friends got their a little late and were 3rd row from the very top of the US Airways Center in PHX ... the view was okay, but the sound was terrible because we were so far above the speakers. Jeremy Camp, Mercy Me and Addison Road were my favorites of the night. Hawk Nelson was a bunch of noise with no discernable lyrics. Tenth Avenue North was alright.
The Hello Love tour was my favorite though. Our church got group tickets for $15 each. Israel Houghton did several of the songs we sing in church, so it was like a sunday service there. He also sang a remix of Andre Crouch's "My Tribute" which was incredible. Chris Tomlin was also great ... though he did take a long time (probably 35 minutes) talking about his charity project. I like several songs from his new album.
Again, it's worth going to, especially the Rock and Worship Roadshow Tour.
