She could have used a more relevant picture and the article would not have seemed so extreme. I agree mother should teach their daughters those principles. But just as important is to teach (for both boys and girls) respect for others and proper relational attitudes, which will produce far more effect than all the don't that can be listed. Modesty should proceed from understanding and not from "you can't do that."

I do feel we should teach principles of biblical modesty to our children.
However the way to work on the outside is through the inside.
If our spirit is correct our outside I feel will be correct also.
If one has a walk with The Holy Ghost it will be evident innerwardly as well as externally as well.

Scott, there are so many who "say this" but in reality if you don't dress and keep your hair in a fassion they feel is necesary, they feel that your spirit is not right.

This is visual validation and it is a grevious sin among us.

I do believe in outward modesty however a cookie cutter mentality I do not.
