I thought about this today.

I wondered what was going through the minds of those Soldiers who knew they were going to die while attempting to make it to the shore.


So many thousands boldly stared death in the face, and died anyway, unflinchingly.



Can you imagine the horror-- the fear and the overcoming that happened on that day?

My heart races thinking about it.



To call those men brave would not do them justice, given what they had to overcome that day.
