The Boudreaux's Visit The Thibodeaux's
The Boudreaux family was overdue going to visit the Thibodeaux family to see their newborn child, who was now a few weeks old.
While driving over Mrs. Boudreaux tells their young 6-year-old, "Little Boudreaux, when we get to Thibodeaux's, you done be careful how you say thangs. Little Thibodeaux was born with no ear lobes, and you'd hurt their feelings bad if you say anything about his ears."
When they arrived at the Thibodeaux home, Little Boudreaux, walked up to Mrs. Thibodeaux and the baby.
"Mrs. Thibodeaux, " he said kindly. "Your baby ... his nose ... is sooooo pretty."
"Why thank you, Little Boudreaux." she answered warmly.
"And his, cheeks ... his skin ... soooo soft."
"Awwwww, Little Boudreaux, that's so kind of you to say, shah." she smiled.
"His eyes, dey soooo perty, too."
"Awwwwww, you sure know how to warm a momma's heart!" she said, her eyes misting.
"Mrs. Thibodeaux, his eyes ... he can see well?" Little Boudreaux asked politely.
"Well, he's not but a few weeks old, " Mrs. Thibodeaux answered, "but seems like he sees perfectly."
"Dat's good thang, " said Little Boudreaux, "Cuz he won't be able to wear no glasses."

Re: The Boudreaux's Visit The Thibodeaux's
Wait a minute....I could wear glasses if I had no ear lobes. Now, if I had no ears, that would be a different story!
The story may need a slight revision. LOL

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

I have to do that. I think my daughter has all of the pics on her computer so I will have to get her to email me some to put on here. She is a incredibly smar of course. She is already composing songs on her little keyboard at just eight months old. After she plays it she looks up at you and you are supposed to clap. When you do she grins and then starts playing the keyboard some more.
