Unholy Eyewear?

I love Jesus and I don't want to go hell.

I am unsure how much of this is linked to my upbringing but I will ask anyway -

When do eyeglasses cross the line to no longer be holy?

And if I remove this fence should I replace it with another one?

Pictures?

Do you mean eyewear with rhinestones all over them?

Or eyewear that is "of the world" - latest fashions?

There was a lady at our church, one of those everything-you-do-will-send-you-to-hell people. She bought new glasses and on the frames was the playboy bunny. She had no idea what it was and it was too much fun to laugh at to tell her.

Hope she doesn't go to hell for it.

As soon as you add bling to them.

Or red ones.

And keep them clean!

I guess both? And can they gold and all? I know that NT principles are anti gold but does it apply to functional eyewear? And what if its like fake gold? Does that go against the spirit of the law?

Re: Unholy Eyewear?

I had a friend whose dad came home bragging about the great deal he had gotten on a set of mud flaps that had this cute little bunny on them.

You had to know him to know how absolutely hilarious it would have been for him to drive around with those on his car. A playboy he was not.

Well, it depends on how HOLY you really are.

A real HOLINESS person would not wear glasses at all. Instead he/she would trust God to heal his/her eyes and would not lean on the arm of the flesh (wearing glasses prescribed and manufactured by a godless doctor).

If, you do not have enough faith to trust your eyesight to God and stoop to the level of wearing glasses, any metallic frame (which would look like silver or gold) or any plastic frame (which would look like pearl) would, of course, be a sin. About the only option you would have would be a clear plastic frame or maybe a plain black or brown one (red, of course, is the color of passion and would not be right at all).

I hope you know I'm just kidding.
I see nothing wrong with eye glasses, dentures, medication, or doctors.
Read Ecclesiasticus chapter 38, verses 1-15 in the 1611 King James Bible (not the newer versions that have deleted the Apocrypha).
