Does anyone watch Breaking Bad on AMC?
I can't get over how engaging this show is. I have been watching since Season 1, and it just keeps getting better and more forboding. It's not for everyone, and it certainly has content that some would find objectionable, but it's portrayal of how a seemingly "normal" person can reveal their true selves by the moral choices they make and the rationalizations that get them there is just stunning.
A low-paid high school chemistry teacher finds out he has cancer and decides to cook meth in order to provide for his family after he is gone. That's how it starts. But it has become more of a show about the horrible consequences of his actions over time and how it destroys everyone and everything around him. Did the man become this evil person, or was he always evil and hiding it well? It emphasizes to me just how a person's moral compass can gradually become completely off target without an anchor.
It's just .... Wow.
Again - I'm not suggesting anyone start watching that isn't already, but I'm just curious if anyone has seen it.
