retreat

You have never seen anything like a northeast Brazilian retreat! lol...
The people have done a little bit of everything. They are very human...so they play...pray...fuss over who gets more food...
Last night we have an informal service that was supposed to last an hour but ended up lasting almost 3 hours...wow...that was worth it all...seeing them feel so strong the presence of the Lord.

After the retreat is over or even maybe later today I want to post a few pictures...

You know northeast Brazil is very, very poor..

My son Michael bought a trampolim (may be mispelled) anyway everyone wants to jump...it is so funny they are standing in line to get to jump...most had never seen one!

We rented some table games...(quite expensive here) wow how they play with passion!

They are right now trying to make 5 pounds of meat go around for 150 people!

Last night for supper they ate mush with eggs or cassava (root)...

Believe me they love almost anything...It is awesome and amazing...


They have never had or seen a weiner roast but if possible I want to go to town and buy weiners and bread for tonight... and let them eat until their hearts are content!

oh yes...the kids are enjoying the swings and doll house...
