wow, amazing. thanks for posting. I watched both van impe programs, while he didn't quote schuller, impe lambasted rick warren. I can't believe what rick warren is promoting. While tbn is wrong to cancel shows that offend muslims, here is a quote from another article in their defense.

TBN is a worldwide ministry; we have an entire channel that airs 24 hours a day, seven days a week in Arabic," he said. "We are trying to reach the Islamic world and open a dialogue with them regarding Christ and Christianity." Casoria explained, "We do not feel that the best witness of Christ is to bash them but rather to show them the nature of Christ – the way Christ said to present himself – and that is through love, understanding and the presentation of the gospel to them."

What are van impes beleifs and standards/org.ties ?any idea ?

I do know TBN is broadcasting into Islamic nations, or trying to. I don't know about RW and Islam and what the point was there, but perhaps TBN thinks it's better to reach Muslims without offending them with anti-Islamic rants

Doesn't surprise me about Rick Warren. He's been trying to dilute the gospel for years. Disappointed to see Bill Hybels listed as signing with this mess, not that I'm upset over it, but I know quite a few ministers that have tried modeling their churches and ministries after his.

You can preach the gospel without bashing others. You can state boldly what you believe and WHO you believe in without totally offending everyone else. I'm not suggesting sugar coating, or compromise, but you don't have to be offensive. He that wins souls is WISE!

I, too, think bashing is wrong. But if Impe is correct in saying TBN is airing encouragement of an amalgamation of Islam with Christianity, them I agree with Impe on THAT point.
