Prophetic Utterance or General Exhortation?
This songs encourages me-- not with hope for deliverance from trials, but with hope of deliverance in and through the trials of life.
So yeah, I really enjoy listening to this song and music like this but I noticed something this morning and I pose the question to the AFF populace.
At minute 3:41, is the solost/preacher speaking prophetically or is this an example of a general exhortation?

For sure he was preaching.
So given the context of the song, I am thinking you think he was giving a general exhortation to the congregation at that point, right?

Well, one of the things that prompt my question is-- well do you think that people can sing or preach under the influence of the Holy Spirit?

I would hope that people would preach under the influence of the Holy Spirit, and Singing can surely be annointed.

Yes I do! However, I don't think that is determined by the fervency, intensity or volume of the speaker at all. I have heard people yell lies and crowds go into wild "worship frenzies".
On the other hand I have heard very anointed formal preaching that focused on the word of God rather than delivery and crowd manipulation.
I'm certainly not against fervency, but it simply is not the determining factor as to "anointing" and Holy Spirit influence.

Re: Prophetic Utterance or General Exhortation?
At 3:41, he tells the listeners that God is going to carry them them through the fire-- not deliver them from the fire.
If you were going through something and you heard this, whether his tone was conversational or he was shouting at the top of his lungs, would what he said be exhortational or prophetic?

Depends on how one views "prophesy". Regard less, I would receive it the same way. Exhortation does not carry more or less weight than prophetic.
