Unless you explore, you will not find!
I have been the IT guy at my school for four years now and for those four years I did ate, round robin style, and the following places: Taco Bell, Burger King, Panda Express, Chick-Filet, or not at all. For four years! To say I got sick of these places is an understatement and more often than not, didn't eat at all or brought in some swill from home to heat up.
Just today I drove about 500 feet from where our Chick-Filet is and found.... an In and Out Burger!!!! 500 feet past it! For 4 years I never ventured far enough to find all the places that existed just 1 1/2 miles from my school! (There was also a Wendy's, McDonalds -which I wouldn't go to anyways, and a dozen other places.)
There is probably a good lesson here somewhere but for the moment I am feeling like the ultimate dope.

I have done that. Still do. Not by driving further than before, but by driving slower. Amazing the things you never saw before when rushing here and there down the same road for years.
Take the time to drive 5 mph under the speed limit instead of 5 mph over, you will be amazed at all the places and things you never noticed before.

Re: Unless you explore, you will not find!
We also have an incredible little diner at a strip mall just 500-600 feet from our house -the same extra distance I drove to find the In and Out Burger joint. In this case I knew about it but it took me three years to eat there the first time. It is really good! (And now I know why it is packed all the time!)

My husband says he sees more people, places and things while on his motorcycle that he does not see while in an auto.

Re: Unless you explore, you will not find!
 Yeah bbyrd.
I would have never known about the endangered sturgeon fish in MS had it not been for newspapers.
Once when hubby and I went walking, I "discovered" this huge, fat ant. It was orange and black and hairy looking. When one steps on this thing and grinds the foot into the ground, the "ant" runs off after you take your foot off it.
Yikes! You can't kill the thing!
So yeah...mechanical engineering does a lot for progress, but we grow distant from God's creation the more we use it.
