I recommended this church to my grand daughter who lives in another city. This is their statement of faith. Sounds pretty good to me.
What We Believe
In essential beliefs — we have unity.
“There is one Body and one Spirit…there is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of us all…”
Eph. 4:4-6
In non-essential beliefs — we have liberty.
“Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters… Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls… So then each of us will give an account of himself to God… So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God.”
Romans 14:1,4,12,22
In all our beliefs — we show charity.
“…If I hold in my mind not only all human knowledge but also the very secrets of God, and if I have the faith that can move mountains — but have no love, I amount to nothing at all.”
1 Cor. 13:2 (Ph)
God
We believe in the One ever-living, eternal God, Creator and Ruler of the Universe. Who has revealed Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (
Genesis 1:26-27,
Isaiah 9:6,
Deuteronomy 6:4, 2 Corinthians 13:14,
John 1:1)
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the unchangeable, inspired Word of God to all people. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living.

II Peter 1:20-21,
II Timothy 1:13,

Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of a virgin; that he lived a sinless life, was crucified on Calvary for our sins, and physically rose from the grave.He has been exalted to the throne of God where He is the only mediator between God and man. We believe that through his death and resurrection we have access to personal salvation and power for victorious living.

Man
Man is made in the image of God. He is the supreme object of God’s creation. Although God designed man to have fellowship with him, man became alienated from God through disobedience. As a result, all human beings are born with a sinful nature and choose to sin against God. Man is incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through his own efforts.

Salvation
Salvation is a gift from God to man. Man can never make up for his sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can man be saved from sin’s penalty. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith. (

Water Baptism & Communion
We believe that following faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the new convert is
commanded by the Word of God to be baptized in water (see
Matthew 28:19,
Acts 2:38). We believe in a unique time of communion in the presence of God when the elements of bread and grape juice (A representation of the body and blood of the Lord Jesus Christ) are taken in remembrance of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. (
Matthew 26:26-29;
Mark 16:16;
Acts 8:12,36-38, 48;
1 Corinthians 10:16; 11:23-26)
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is active in the world today and He lives in every believer from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The baptism of the Holy Spirit, along with His gifts, is the privilege of all believers.

The Church
We believe the Church has been called to be the embodiment of God’s Spirit in this world.As the body of Christ on earth, the Church offers hope to mankind. The Church is one body made up of many members, diverse in their gifts and calling of the Holy Spirit.

Eternity
Man was created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or in union with God, through forgiveness and salvation. When you die, you will either spend eternity in Heaven or Hell. Eternal separation from God happens in Hell. Eternal union with God occurs in Heaven.
