I can put all my sins on Jesus

I'm sort of an agnostic like Timmy. I do believe in God. For many reasons, I have a hard time accepting the whole Jesus message. However... had a revelation tonight that brought tears to my eyes and really made me think. I can put all my sins on Jesus. They are off me and on Him. He did this for me. What a relief! No guilt anymore. Lots of guilt I carry around about all the awful stuff I've done in the past. Terrible things I'm truly ashamed of. When did you first realize this? And how did that make you feel? What did you do next?

What do you mean by the "whole Jesus message"?

I didn't know that agnostics believe in sin.

He doesn't accept the WHOLE Jesus message. Only the part where Jesus takes away his sins???

I'm too stubborn to accept it, I guess. Would go down to the altar for years and years and get nowhere. Last night it really hit me that it would be a relief to take everything bad thing I've done and put it on someone else. It just hit me like a ton of bricks. That's all. But, still, woke up this morning, and still that sinful guy exists. He screwed up again. And, now I'm back to square one again. What to do? Not really sure.

Yeah, maybe I'm not really an agnostic. I do believe that an intelligent being created all this. Not sure what to do about me, my work, my life, my family, and everything in between, and Jesus.

Adam, the good news is that He has already born it. He never asked any of our permission. So, let go of the guilt. Accept the spiritual reality behind the implications of the cross. Embrace the reality that you are free and clear to commune with your creator regardless of where you've been or what you've done.
